Here's all the UI and graphics work I've done so far for the Arma III Halo mod "Far Isle"
The HUDs were meant to be a mixture of the utilitarian style from Arma, and the clean, classic military sci-fi aesthetic from Halo 3 and Halo 5's HUDs. My usual HUD designs incorporate a bit more flashy accent elements, but due to Arma's ultra-realistic nature, those had to be brought down to a minimum.
The logo for Far Isle was far harder to nail down than I anticipated, but eventually I used the SAS emblem as inspiration. This worked especially well as the insurrection forces doubled as rebels, as well as counter-terrorist fighters. Many considered the UNSC terrorists for the destruction of the planet Far Isle, thus a sword piecing through the UNSC's eagle felt very fitting. This design was smoothed, cleaned, and finalized by the very talented Alexis Jonsson (https://www.artstation.com/wyvernzu)
The UI for the scopes and sights were based on those used in Halo 5, particularly how each sight has the rim of the "glass" outlined and given a glowing effect. The scopes come with their own independent crosshairs, while the sights use the weapon's base crosshair when ADS. Initially we were planning on making the sights like Halo 5's "Smart Link" system, which was basically holograms that popped up on the player's HUD, but this was quickly changed to what we have now.
